1955台灣手工藝推廣中心成立 THPC

中華民國生產力中心成立CPC（1958年擴大為中國生產力及貿易中心 CPTC）

1967 中華民國工業設計師協會成立CIDA
1967 The Industrial Designers Association of the Republic of China was established

1970 中華民國對外貿易發展協會誕生CETDC簡稱外貿協會
In 1970, the Republic of China External Trade Development Center was born

中國生產力與貿易中心，改組為中國生產力中心。
Taiwanese Productivity and Trade Center, reorganized as Taiwanese Productivity Center

1979年3月16日外貿協會成立設計中心Design Center / CETDC

1971大同公司成立工業設計課，並成為台灣企業界第一個國際型的工業設計組織

5. 廣告設計的興起The rise of advertising design：

廣告設計Adv.design、平面設計Graphic design後發展命名為商業設計Commercial design，因受國際趨勢之影響，產生新名稱「視覺傳達設計（Visual Communication design）」，之後因業務需求，產生設計顧問公司Design Consultant與公關公司PR-Public Relation Co.。
Advertising design, graphic design ,later developed and named Commercial design, due to the influence of international trends, a new name was created “Visual Communication Design", later, due to business needs, a design consulting company and a public relations company were created.

 

設計教育、設計實務與設計推廣三大功能，為企業成長的動力，與國家創新強盛的因素。而設計中心與協會扮演著重要的推手。

The three major functions of design education, design practice and design promotion are the driving force for the growth of the enterprise and the factor of the country’s innovation and prosperity. The design center and association play an important role.
